I use this product to safely store important documents such as Social Security cards and Birth Certificate; cash, vehicle titles, etc. This chest is durable, lightweight, easy to use, and portable. I can't say enough great things about it! Would I recommend this to a friend---you bet!

  The weight for this chest is 14 pounds. The exterior measurements are 6.1 " H x 14.3 " W x 11.0 " D while the interior dimensions are 3.5 " H x 12.0 " W x 7.5 " D.

  Although the specific details for this particular model are not available, other Sentry Safe Security Fire Chest models are made with molded polymer housings which, in contact with fire, melt and seal the interior as well as Survivacast insulation (which protect the contents); since the chemical reactions when fire occurs are the same, it is extremely likely that this box contains the same materials.
