    Not ethanol proof!

    I bought quite a lot of these pens, but was really disappointed to find that the writing washes off when sprayed with ethanol. I would think that a lot of chemistry or biology labs ...Read complete review

    I bought quite a lot of these pens, but was really disappointed to find that the writing washes off when sprayed with ethanol. I would think that a lot of chemistry or biology labs use ethanol or acetone washes on a daily basis, so I'm surprised that these pens would be advertised as being permanent markers for lab use. These would be good for labs that... um... write. Otherswise, the markers work just like regular markers. If I'd known they were not ethanol proof, I might have chosen other pens.

        Better than the regular ultra fine sharpie, line doesn't smear. Not as sharp a line as I was expecting for small jewelry tag marking. It will do the job and is a good value for my use. Might need to go to a professional art store to find the precision point I seek.
