I purchased the Sharpie retractable pens so I could leave one in my purse. There have been times when I needed a Sharpie and of course, I didn't have one with me.
I have been using one at home for all of my everyday writing. I normally have problems with ink pens because I keep hand lotion on my hands at all time. By the time I get to the bottom of the page, my ink pens often doesn't work. I had actually started writing lists from the bottom of the page instead of the top to stop this problem. Using this Sharpie, I have not had any problems like this.
It doesn't bleed through paper. I have used it to write on CD's. It was great for that purpose because I was able to fit all of the names of the songs on it without running out of room. Plus, it actually looked nice and neat on the CD and was easier to read.
I love it! My daughter saw it and she wanted one, too! Good thing they came in a 3-pack!

This package came with one pen that wouldn't work at all. Others run out of ink too quickly and/or dry out during extensive writing periods. Paying [$] for a package of three pens, one of which won't work and others with low ink, isn't a good value. I will re-think purchasing this product again.

This pen doesn't smear and the ink doesn't end up on my hand. It has becomes favorite gel pen and I will be a faithful user because of the ease and the way it writes.

I've had my eye on these for a while, just waiting until I inevitably lost enough of my other pens to warrant buying some new ones. I'm very impressed. The line is smooth. It doesn't seem to glide as easily as a ballpoint, so if you write very quickly, as I sometimes do, it may not be the best choice for you. But especially for applications where permanence is important, this is the pen to beat.
