Its hard to find one which does not smear, runs dry, or actually is to wide to be a fine point, even though its called a fine point. Since we have to have price tags on all our Knives & Cutlery, we use this marker everyday, as prices dose change. We know use this marker for almost all aspects of our writings. One of the best items I have found for touching up errors in my embroidery work.
Sometimes the bobbin(white) thread wil be pulled on top of the embroidery work and a quick touch with the right color pen saves an other-wise ruined design.

The Sharpie ultra fine point permanent markers are extremely useful when I have something small that I want to write a name on. If it's something of mine or one of our grandchildren's..it is great! With these pens you are capable of getting into some very close spaces. Such as marking glue sticks, small computer or phone chargers etc. I've even used them to mark swimming goggles for one of my little grandchildren to find that the name actually did stay on quite some time. I've used these pens for years and will continue to for many more!

Bought the packet of ultra fine sharpies to write on blank Christmas ornaments that I had purchased for my kids When I started to write their names on the ornaments I found that it was very easy to do so. I thought the writing would smudge but to my amazement when I ran my finger over the names--it didn't. It didn't skip a letter either. I find that I reach for this pen much more often than an ordinary pen because of its boldness of character.
I can see why professionals would use this in their everyday work. I highly recommend these pens for their price and performance
