I went to a class on paper organization in the home, and had this product recommended to me. I decided to take a chance on it (it IS a bit of an investment), and am so far very pleased.

The plastic hanging folder tabs are durable, well designed, and very easy to read from the front or the top. Also, the ability to group files together by color is fantastic. For example, it allowed me to make all of my financial files green, without having to otherwise divide or explicitly label each file as being financial in nature. There is an option as well for large indicator letters to be printed on the hanging folder tabs, so it is very simple to organize alphabetically within the color-coded categories.

There are some things to be careful of however. First of all, the starter kit is very limited in number, presumably to make the costumer return soon to purchase a refill kit. There are only two sheets of labels ( ~ 20 on each sheet), so if you plan on reorganizing an entire filing system, probably purchase one or more refills right away.

Also, make the printer adjustment very carefully, as I was in a hurry and almost wasted most of my first sheet of labels. Do the test and play around until the printer is calibrated correctly.

If you are interested in getting organized, this is a wonderful product if you are able to put in the time and monetary investment. Coupling this with an overhaul of a long past-due purging of a filing cabinet would be ideal (if you have a free weekend sometime!). Just make sure not to make typos or other mistakes, as the supplies are precious!

Make sure you know the software does NOT work with a MAC. We were unaware when we purchased it that there is no way to download it to a MAC.

I have been using and recommending this product to my clients for 5 years and every client I have used them with LOVES this product. My favorite things about them are that they are colorful and you can pick the color that appeals to you. I recommend going with one color or if you have 2 categories in one file cabinet, pick one color for each category (i.e. green for personal and red for business or whatever!) Second, I love that they are easy to read from the top or side of a file cabinet. One reason people don't file is because it is too difficult to read the tabs. Thirdly, aligning the tabs all on the same side (straight line filing method), makes it so much easier to find things. I use interior file folders for sub-sections within the categories. These tabs work well for easy identification from above as the label is 3 dimensional - viewable from top, back and front. I didn't know these existed until I saw one in person and wow they made quite a difference in being able to see and locate a file. The packaging doesn't show off the great look of these labels and they are somewhat hard to find in the store. The colors on the tabs are determined by you so you can pick whatever shade you want for each tab to be printed out. The only small issue I have is that the color choices in the software look different than the shade that is printed out so you have to play with it a little to get the shade you want.

I needed a way to organize real estate files that was easy to read for quick reference. With the color choices, I was able to separate categories and have a label that was easy to read and find. This product was perfect for my needs.

I organized all my files in color coordination making everything easy to find. The fact that you don't have to use all the labels and can still use the same sheet of labels that remain is fantastic!! I already boought refills but 32 tabs should be influded so you can use all the labels.
