    As stated below, I would and have recommended it to others. Have experimented with what can be added and surprised myself with the various flavors I came up with, not to mention the flavors you can buy. The pink grapefruit and cola were surprisingly flavorful. Would like to try flavors like grape, lemonade, black cherry, and tropical punch(diet). I also like to drink just "fizzy" water from time to time. It would be nice if the bottles would be dishwasher safe, but they're not impossible to wash. Like the expiration date on them also. My wife says that the reg. lemon-lime leaves an after taste, like artificial sweetners do. We found out there is sucralose in it and this turned her off to it. Would be nice for it to have just reg sucrose in it. Overall, I give it a "thumbs up"! grandpa

    While this doesn't taste as good as some of the name brand root beer, you can control the amount of carbonation. I like less and my friend likes more. I am also allergic to Aspertame ( Nutrasweet) and this is made with Sucralose (Splenda). I pour it into the smaller 20 ounce Pepsi bottles that I accumulate and stick them in the fridge to take to work which saves lots of money. They sell extra bottles but any regular plastic bottle works although the recycled bottles tend to go flat quicker.

    We drink lots of soda pop at our house. We love our SodaStream. Most of the flavors taste great. The diet Root Beer is one of the best. The best part is that I don't have to tote all of those bottles and cans of soda home from the store. We also don't have to save all the empty cans & bottles to recycle. I love that the company refills the CO2 canisters. I have had no trouble using the Soda Stream machine. The only drawback is that there is less fizz than store bought soda but I really don't care for really fizzy drinks. I'm not sure if using the SodaStream sill same much $$ but I really do enjoy the convenience.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                Out of all the flavors for my Sodastream the Diet Rootbeer Sodastream flavor is by far my favorite flavor. I also enjoy the pink lemonade. So easy to make your bubbly water flavored to your taste. And Staples has the best deals on the supplies for my Sodastream machine. I also buy my carbonation cartridges at Staples because its convenient(right around the corner from my house) and they always have them in stock at the right price. The bubbles make me so happy and I think every house should have a Sodastream

Have experimented with what can be added and surprised myself with the various flavors I came up with, not to mention the flavors you can buy. The pink grapefruit and cola were surprisingly flavorful. Would like to try flavors like grape, lemonade, black cherry, and tropical punch(diet). I also like to drink just "fizzy" water from time to time. It would be nice if the bottles would be dishwasher safe, but they're not impossible to wash. Like the expiration date on them also. My wife says that the reg. lemon-lime leaves an after taste, like artificial sweetners do. We found out there is sucralose in it and this turned her off to it. Would be nice for it to have just reg sucrose in it. Overall, I give it a "thumbs up"! grandpa
