We use the product mainly for video recordings. Other brands have a usability rate of only 3 out of 10 disks actually formattable and recordable in our Panasonic DVR - the Sony brand usually is 100% usable, with perhaps 3 out of 100 being unusable. This is incredible compared to TDK or Memorex, which we most recently tried in an attempt to save a few dollars. Believe me, other brands are not worth the aggravation. Interestingly, only Staples carries this product in the 25 pack spindle - wish they were 100's!

I burned all of these on an internal burner in a G4 Mac tower and many in a external 18x Firewire/USB Pioneer burner connected to a Mac Mini and so far none have failed. I came on here to see the price because I'm out of my 25 disc stack. My discs were 2x speed.
