Out of a spindle of 25, I had six disks burn and verify properly. The rest failed half-way through verification. Perhaps it was a bad lot; but I hesitate to waste more money on this product in the event that I end up with another spindle of useless disks. I can't recommend this product — especially to any professionals. Purchase at your own risk.

High failure rate on multiple drives

      Tried these on three different optical devices on two different systems, all quiescent. A failure rate of roughly 2/3 and completely acceptable. The same drives have no problem at all with the Memorex discs and those of some other manufacturers.

              Will Sony work in my Apple MacBook Pro laptop? MAC OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?
              The MacBook has a Superdrive that can burn (read/write) DVD + & - R Double layer ( 8.5 GB)

              Another brand has failed with two of their DVD + R DL disks (one was rated 8X the other 2.4x).
              I was told that SONY would be work with no trouble.
              I would like to hear other experiences.

                You should not experience any trouble using these with your Mac, cd/dvd discs are very universal and you do not need to purchase a specific brand for it to work on your Mac. However, there are many Mac users who experience issues while trying to burn cd's/dvd's and, surprisingly, many people are saying that using a disc cleaner before inserting the disc is solving the problem.

                You may want to visit www.apple.com for support or view https://discussions.apple.com for users experiencing the same issues.

                For other Mac users:while researching I noticed that a lot of Mac computers will only take the -r or -rw discs.
