I'm quite pleased with the Sony CD's I purchased recently. I've only used a couple of them so far but, the results have been excellent. I make a lot of mix disks for the car. I've had problems with Memorex and to a lesser degree, Maxell. I had so many coasters from Memorex that I thought I had a problem with the burner. But, I tried them in different burners with the same results. I've had excellent results with Sony's DVD's. I've burned in excess of 150 with only 1 or 2 failures. So I thought I'd give their CD's a try. Excellent quality and on sale at Staple for [[$] per disk, you can't beat it.

These ddn't work for me. I had a 50 percent error rate in writing. I only used 8 and got 4 disks completed, before I gave up. I was burning CD's using Audible/Nero supplied which has had no problems before (other than being wildly intrusive (did they take a page out of RealPlayers book?)) and I have used this many times to burn CDs on this laptop. Could be an inccmpatibility between my drive (a Toshiba, I think, on a Compaq, vanilla, laptop), but I won't waste my time trying to find out. It's back to Memorex and hope that things improve.

I have tried other brands and sometimes they won't burn or work as well. Sony seems to be the most reliable CD that I have found. It has good burn time and playback is great. I have an Acer laptop and I have difficulty burning with other CD brands. I have never experience this problem with the Sony brand. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone having problems with burning or recording CD's. Sony has a wonderful product with great pricing.

with any other brand, they suppouse to give customer pack of 100 CDR with this price
Iam not taliking about DVDR

Sony CD-R discs are good quality. I use them to back up my data, photographs, music, videos, and other files. I never have had an issue with them. Other brands either have a problem with the foil coming off or they simply stop reading. I find these discs are less prone to scratches. They read easier. Other brands such as memorex and TDk, in my experience have either burned blank audio tracks or start digital clipping around half way through the disc. That is really annoying when you listen to half a disc and then the second half is no good.

  Please note that I would suggest the Staples item #623616, Staples 50/Pack 4.7GB DVD-R, Spindle, as being a good choice when making a system backup disk because the DVD's holds 7 times more data than CD-R.
