          Comments about Sony Rewritable BD-RE BLU-RAY DISC™:

Sony Blu-Ray RE are the best quality discs and work every time in just about any Blu-ray player.I use Sony Vegas for video editing HD-AVC-/M2TS.-files and burn them to Sony Blu-ray disc they work perfect the quality is amazing with a full 1920x1080p video camera!.I highly recommend Sony Blu-Ray- BD-RE over all other brands. And I have tried other 3 other Blu-Ray brands.

            • Q:

What does the RE stand for? Is it simply just a synonym for RW in the Blu Ray sense?
Asked on 3/2/2013 by Hannaway from A Smple Intercept

              1 answer

              • A:

BD-RE is a newer format of BD-RW. BD-RE drives can write to both BD-RE and BD-RW disks, while BD-RW drives can only write to BD-RW disks.

Can I use this disc to add home movies at different times and still keep the previous files on the disc? How many hours HD video will one disc hold? Thanks

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

The Sony Rewritable BD-RE BLU-RAY DISC will hold about 23 hours of content, allowing you to record multiple applications on one disc. You may continue at a later date to record applications. Old content may be erased and recorded over multiple times.

                A:

No, the Blu-Ray is what makes for a better sound and picture. This would not transfer to a normal DVD.

You'll need to refer to your HD camcorder and PC manuals. Playing a Blu-Ray disc is dependant upon your device.
