    I bought a $1,200 Samsung Chronos with a Quadcore i7, 8GB of ram, 1TB of space, 1600x900 display and every other bell and whistle there is. I AM RETURNING IT TOMORROW. 1 day with this VAIO and I've got everything I need.

    I don't play huge games and I don't run huge amounts of Data. This is the perfect lightweight computer for everyday use. Sony is always an extra 100 dollars because they make the best quality products and provide the best support. If this had a backlighted keyboard, and i5 processor and 2gb more or RAM, it would be the perfect computer. However, no one really needs that much for standard use and I am in love. Half the price of a MacBook and I couldn't be happier. Core i3 always nagged me, but I took a chance and I can't tell the difference.

    BUY THIS COMPUTER. The touch screen is fun when needed (which isn't often), it is sleek looking, light as a feather and the best purchase I've ever made. THANKS!!!!

    This is for my 13 years old kid. The laptop looks good. Has touch sreen, which may atrack younger users and it seems to be working good. The LCD monitor failed after a week of work. I had to get a second one and keep watching it. I got it on sale so it was a good deal for my kid. If you buy one, extended warranty is recommended.

    This is Sony's lower end Windows 8 Ultrabook with touch screen and I'm not a bit disappointed. This laptop rocks. Hybrid setup with SSD is a plus as this baby starts up in seconds. Will be used primarily for college and browsing the web.

          Bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. The item is sturdy and otherwise well constructed. It handles multiple tasks speedily. My gripe is that the Windows 8 operating system that is supposed to facilitate matters lacks certain functions that users have become accustom to using. For instance, there is no way that I can find to copy and save a picture embedded in an email. For an'intuitive' interface it leaves some to be desired. This in no way reflects upon the expertise that Sony has put into making this machine. It is just right for my wife's purposes and it is easily portable.

              The previous answer is wrong. This computer does include an ethernet port. The tab titled "From the Manufacturer" specifies "HDMI®, VGA and Gigabit Ethernet ports". Also, if you look at the pictures you can see the Ethernet port on the right side behind the VGA output.
