This desk was a joke to put together. We buy furniture from Staples all the time with no problems so I thought this desk and hutch would be fine. We had to call the company a few times for help and it turns out the instructions were wrong in a few places, and we were missing pieces and had to order more. By the time we got it together, it was so chipped in a few places. It is cheap material (MDF) and since you are supposed to screw holes in to the side of the MDF, it disrupts the integrity of the so called wood. Save yourself a headache and do not buy this.

Ordered cherry and received ebony color. There are chips everywhere that were noticed as soon as the box was opened. Customer service was supposed to call me back to resolve this situation but hasn't yet.

First time I tried to use the drawers the bottom fell out. It is cardboard and slides into a groove. I was totally surprised at such a cheap drawer bottom when the rest of the unit looked nice. Work space is good and has a nice appearance in the office.

This product needs to be placed against a wall as it is only one sided. This means there is only the Cherry finish on one side of it and thus must be placed against a wall for a professional look. I was disappointed as this desk needed to be placed in the center of an office and we had to rearrange the room to be able to put it against a wall.
