After I finally got the professional assembler out to set up desk it is working out very well. The manager (Vickie) @ StaplesNas.com (National Assembly Services) went above & beyond to resolve all issues I had with my desk. The installer (Dallas) was also very professional when he came to set the desk up.

First the manual didnt come with the product and I had to call the manufacturer company for them to email me the instructions to set up desk.The desk is beautiful but it was still hard to set up. Not only did I didnt get the manual but the instructions in the book were incorrect and it wasnt because I didnt follow the directions but at the end it was really hard to connect all the pieces because the instructions were confusing. It took me 5 hours to build this desk.

[...]The particle board is low density. The raw edges tend to chip and peel the finish away during assembly. After getting the base portion of the desk assembled, I found that the top half of the desk isn't Royal Cherry like the bottom half, but is Golden Birch. Open both boxes first to check for finish color match.This desk is greatly over-priced, and still wouldn't be a good value at half the listed price. Anyone purchasing this desk should follow the directions very carefully, remove the fasteners from the pouches and put the contents of each pouch into a separate ziploc bag. Next, install all hardware and fasteners, then separate all panels by alphabetic designations before starting to assemble the panels. I already sold my old desk, so I'm stuck with this one for a while.

This is an overall great buy! The desktop space is large enough to have room to work and lots of shelves and drawers to store just about anything. It does take some time to put together but I didn't think it was too complicated. I enjoy doing projects like that so maybe that's something to consider. The only real con I can think if is that you do have to be careful cause it does scratch fairly easy. Overall very sturdy I've had it for about 6 mo. now and still working great!
