      Bought this to display books in the office. When received one of the side walls was cracked in half by Fedex. Called South Shore (because they ship it directly). South Shore were more than helpful, great attitude. They just asked me what part was broken and to make sure other were intact, and then FREE of charge shipped me replacement part. Assembled today, it looks great, is very sturdy and good quality. Would definitely recommend it. South Shore left me speechless with both their helfull attitude and great quality product, GREAT JOB!!! Thank you!

      So I am recently trying to buy on a budget and needed a bookshelf for my office. The reviews this one had were good but I found it hard to believe because the price was so good. I received this shelf about 9 days after ordering and I was not disappointed. I do not like the cardboard like back I had to put nails through but once it was up you couldn't even tell. The shelves are sturdy and it is heavy. Holds many large medical text books from graduate school. I did not attempt to place these books on the movable shelve just the fixed ones. Enjoy!! It was a good bang for the buck.

            The shelves are adjustable, so the height is not set. Based on the dimensions given, if arranged equidistant as in the picture, they would be approximately 13 inches.

            The South Shore Work ID 5-Shelf Bookcase has 3 adjustable shelves; however, if all shelfs are evenly spaced the height between shelves would be approximately 12.4375 inches. In addition, the distance between the bottom shelf and the fixed shelf (3rd from bottom in picture) is approximately 24.875 inches.
