HOUSE: This can be used as either home (average sized dry walled-won't go through stucco walls I am told) router, or as extender. I use only as router & have Brighthouse internet and Cisco modem.

BANDWIDTH: Slower than wired as expected. It is N300 so seems not to handle 1080 HD or related TV media....still testing it out. BUT can reach out into backyard via windows, etc...

USES: I use for email, audio (Podcasts-training), web-surfing (Professional research), video (training --ie., NPR WhiteBoard American Marketplace), etc...

SECURITY: Seems to have good security features, so far...AND it is small and very portable......that's what makes this product so interesting and practical...it can be used at home and on travel or just to a nearby HotSpot (while adding some Security features other products do not)...

BE PATIENT with intialization of product...do not setup if hurried or already in a frazzled state of mind....or distracted ....NETGENIE is a positive utility.

Have heard good feedback about NETGEAR products....seems consistent with alot of reviews I have read....do the same for yourself (read reviews from a variety of sources) to minimize buyers remorse....

Talk to the Tech Sales Associates AND watch some YOUTube videos on "How to..." setup routers etc....even HP has some videos on NETGEAR routers and combination router/modems....

FINALLY--first time I have set up a wireless environment.. so....if I can do it--so can you!--Truly....

I also bought a Warranty....from Square Trade via Staples store.....

This protection is totally inappropriate for the item I purchased - a portable 1 TB hard drive. It doesn't have a screen ... it doesn't have a keyboard ... it doesn't have any of the things listed under their coverage that wouldn't be covered by the original manufacturer, especially since it's not going to leave the computer it's running on. And it's not covered if it gets lost or stolen. My bad ... should have read the information and thought about it before plunking down an extra $10.00.

Comments about SquareTrade 2-Yr Electronics Protection ($30-59.99):

Most classrooms are very hard on pencil sharpeners. It is comforting to know that I have a 2 year protection plan on this sharpener.

Peace of Mind

By Scott

Comments about SquareTrade 2-Yr Electronics Protection ($30-59.99):

I have been a classroom teacher for a number of years, and I have gone through a ton of pencil sharpeners. Thus, for this purchase I decided it was time to protect it for the maximum of two years. I bought the most heavy duty sharpener I could, so hopefully it will last for a long, long time. That being said, if something were to happen to it within the span of the next twenty-four months, it's great to know that I can have it replaced free of charge. The peace of mind is definitely worth the price of the protection plan!

Comments about SquareTrade 2-Yr Electronics Protection ($30-59.99):

I am a faithful user of the Staples protection plan. If there is ever an issue with the product, they handle things quickly and easily. Further, any issue I have ever had has always left me feeling as thought I ended up better off than if I had experienced no problem.
