I bought this ruler thinking that it would last for as long as I would be in college. On opening it already had some slight defects in the increment marks as there was one spot that had been missed by paint. Within the semester it had started to chip at the edges and the marks had started to fade even though I had not used it much. So for anyone getting this be warned that it is a typical Chinese product, useful for the short term not built for the long term.
