A replacement for a 5-sheet shredder, this one is much more heavy duty, with larger capacity bin, jam detection, and the ability to grind up credit cards and CDs. Not a quiet little beast, it makes a bit of engine noise as it slowly slurps in 10 sheets of paper and turns them into little bits of paper.

Problems with Staples 10 sheet shredder

This shredder is fair to ok. It does not have wheels. I solved that one by using the ones from the old shredder. Also, it keeps giving me a "bin full" light. This was solved by removing my white trash bag. It seems the white trash bag reflected and made it look full when it was nearly empty. Now, I have to turn the bin over into another trash can to empty it. This is not acceptable. It would be very easy to correct these issues in manufacturing. Maybe somebody should consider putting a trash bag into the bin to see what happens! The use of a trash bag keeps the whole unit working better (emptied when full) and my office cleaner.
