These are great quality discs and reliable. I have had some that had a high fail rate but these have all worked just fine. Have recently transferred my family VHS to DVD and they worked so well in my recorder and played just fine. I also use them to transfer large amounts of my computer backup file, programs and photos so I don't have to use many CDS. They hold a ton of Photos and have saved me much grief when I have had virus crashes and lost everything on my drive as a result. Great value and great quality!

    I bought these discs due to their value. However, I've found over the last year that this product is less than adequate for the job. Every month when I go to back up my files I end up tossing about 10 discs in the trash because my Sony DVD-RW:DRU830A drive is not able to read them. I use Nero to backup my files and everything works fine if the disc is read. I ran a Sony test on the drive and it checked out fine. I strongly recommend staying away from Staples brand media.

      Well, I have used HP and Sony branded DVDs. They work great on my computer. Because of the better pricing, I decided to try Staples Brand and found that they were equal to the more expensive brands. I have recorded well over 200 DVDs and I have never had a problem with any of them. My advice is to save yourself some money and buy Staples DVDs, but be smart and buy them when they are on sale.

                I am considering returning product for a refund. Only 1 out of 10 are any good. Possibly a bad batch. I have a 100 spindle of a competitors and only 1 out of 100 is a coaster.
