I bought this product because there was no other choice. The length I need only came in gold tip. I could have purchased an ordinary cable for a fraction of the cost but was in a time crunch. Staples made [$] the easy way by not offering another option.

Didn't work on my HP printer.

I needed a longer printer cable for my HP all in one. After attaching this cable I couldn't get it to scan. Removed and re-installed drivers etc...couldn't get it to scan. Plugged...Read complete review

I needed a longer printer cable for my HP all in one. After attaching this cable I couldn't get it to scan. Removed and re-installed drivers etc...couldn't get it to scan. Plugged the HP cable back in (moved units closer together) and it worked.
Don't know why but the Staples cable wouldn't work for the scanner...the prnter worked just not the scanner.

I bought this cable for work as the IT department did not have a cable long enough to reach pc. My goal was to have the printer behind me on a cabinet and not on my desk taking up space. Works great and have not had any problems so far.

I bought this cable to program an operator interface. It woorked the first couple times I used it. Now the pc is saying it cannot recognize the usb device. Does this cable require a special driver for xp? I can't remember if I installed one when I first bought it.
