This shredder head to way to heavy. The paper feed is too particular, the papers have to be positioned just right or it will not feed them in. With such a heavy shredder top, a pull out basket would be much more convenient.

I used my shredder lightly on a daily basis. It honestly couldn't even keep up. It over heated quickly and registered full every time I used it. It's supposed to be able to except over 10 sheets at a time, but once I did this the thing died on me. HORRIBLE INVESTMENT. Didn't even last me 8 months. My last one (not made by staples) lasted 5+ years and cost less money. If you're into wasting buy this model.

Okay. We all know it. Shredders simply don't hold up. I am now on to my 4th in 3 years. This one had promise. It kept shredding the paper! Alas, it fell victim to a faulty sensor and wouldn't turn off. My recommendation: It really doesn't matter. Just buy the extended warranty! I've replaced mine two times now using the purchase price of my 2nd shredder each time. When you think about it the price of the warranty is a great deal for a years worth of shredding!

You never know when the bin is full until the shredder stops working. For home use, it needs a bypass place to put additional items into the bin. Surprisingly the bin for its size does not hold very much shredded material. The paper entry slot is not long enough. Its hard to put paper sheets into the shredder unlesss they are perfectly aligned.
