Q: I've had my shredder about a week. I had a jam, cleared it, the machine turns on but won't let paper feed through. I was told it's because there is a plastic tab missing from the receptacle it sits on, the plastic 'bucket' and that I should cut the cord, send in the label with model and serial # and get a replacement sent. I never saw a plastic tab and that explanation seems very odd. Is there some kind of 'reset' process I should know? Does the on/off switch under the machine matter and what is its purpose? Q: I just purchased this item three days ago, and used it once. I was very happy with its performance and then the "overheat" light came on. I went on to do other things thinking it would reset in a few minutes. That was two days ago. The light is still on and the unit does not work. My employee accidentally threw out the box which had the manual in it so I haven't read if there are any certian proceedures that should be done once it overheats.
