Thought this would be a great value...NOT. Doesn't sharpen well in my Xacto electric sharpener....leads fall out in long cylinders...erasers fall out.....just too frustrating and not worth the value. A let down from Staples, unfortunately.

The lead in these pencils was totally defective. Practically every pencil in the box had so much broken lead that they could not be sharpened.

I have not bought this brand of pencils before, so I do not know if I just happened to get a box that had been handled roughly and broken up all the lead (the box was not damaged), or if this is a common problem with these pencils.
