Great Pencils for K-5 Students

My seven year old daughter calls these the pencils that don't break after you sharpen them. The principal at her school bought cheap bulk pencils and the assistant spent all day sharpening them for the kids. I bought these, sent them to school for her teacher, and my daughter came home and hugged me. She said the teacher was relieved because the Staples pencils last all day and the assistant could spend time helping students in class instead of sharpening pencils.

I needed pencils for one of my college courses. I bought these because they seemed like a good value.

The lead will break off BEFORE you come close to sharpening it to being minimally useful. I have a hand sharpener, and in the last day I've completely worn down three pencils by sharpening without actually being able to use them.

I'm currently using an old pencil and, as it's wearing down, will soon be unable to complete this coursework even though I own sixty-five unused pencils.

These are not worth any cost; I'd recommend buying a better quality pencil at a higher cost. It's really not worth the hassle.

I bought these pencils for my 5th graders to use on standardized tests. They erase easily and completely without smudging. They were also easy to sharpen the first time and continued sharpening easily after the first use.

We have used Staples brand pencils for years, however the quality has changed. These pencils no longer sharpen as they use to. The wood is rough and of poor quality. We have used many different sharpeners this year trying to get them to work properly. As a mathematics teacher I supply many pencils to my students. We will be going back to purchasing the more expensive brand. I would recommend these only in a pinch.

As said above, nice pencils and great deal. However, I have a mechanical sharpener and it took me a bit to get these to sharpen. Once I did, however, they sharpened quite nicely. Great eraser, excellent for general/school use.
