I needed to send only 2 1099 forms so bought the small pack at Staples. I had put it off too long and thought I had to buy them before they were gone. Then I found out I could get as many as I needed free from the IRS by ordering them online. They came in a very timely manner but I had already opened the package that I bought. I will remember this next year.

Flimsy bad paper

I have used your forms for many years and never have I had the problems I did this year. I only do about a dozen each of W-2's and 1099's but I used up almost the whole package of both because I had to keep doing them over. With the exception of the copy for the Government (top page) the paper was so flimsy my HP printer would not pull it through properly. I had jam after jam and am very glad my printer still works. The quality of what I gave to employees and vendors was a disgrace; that is the first time ever I have felt that way.

                    In past years, I've used this type of form and a typewriter to fill them out. Can this form be used or is there a 1099 form you can purchase that comes with software that will let you print the information on the form using an h/p 2400 photo-smart printer. I do not have a tax software program now and not interested in purchasing one unless I need to.
