I have owned this shredder for over a year and it works beautifully. I have owned many less expensive shredders over the last dozen years and you do get what you pay for. This unit has never had a jam, and it has never overheated even after 20 minutes of heavy constant use. The bin is good sized, and if you use a plastic kitchen bag it is very easy to empty, with no mess. I like the electronic controls, especially the one that tells you when to use a shredder lubricant sheet. With proper care I should get many years of service. When I do need a new one, I will definitely purchase this one again.

Defective power mechansism. Worked fine for a couple of days with light use. Then would not turn on. Unit was replaced and same thing happened with second unit.

A lot of shredders have an opening on the top of the shredder but this one has the opening in the front so I can stack papers (or whatever) on top of this shredder. The power cord on the back is great, I plug in an air freshener and my pencil sharpener and it sits right on top of the shredder. It's a great shredder for the price. This is my second one and I would buy it again!

I am very impressed with this shredder. It shreds everything I put through. I don't even open my junk mail anymore! I just put the envelope with everything in it and it eats it with no problem!

I have been using the 18 sheet version of this product for 2+ years now and it is an animal. It easily tears through everything that I feed it. For years I kept buying the $50 models and burning them out within a year or two. This product is far superior than those less expensive models and serves as more of a long term solution to document shredding.

I have to admit that it's not the easiest to empty, but I find that emptying the bin into a large black trashbag seems to work well. When the bag fills up (usually about 4 bins worth), I then transfer it to the recycle bin.
