    I bought this item because it is longer than the cable that came with my MP3 Player and cell phone. I use it to charge my cell phone and MP3 Player through my laptop and through the USB Port in a small travel extension cord at the wall socket. It is easier than what came with my cell phone and MP3 Player. When I plug in a menu comes up telling how long it will take to fully charge the device. This is handy as then I know when I can unplug. The menu telling me the percentage the device is charged and how long until it is charged is helpful. I really like it.

    It's a generic product and not custom made by my cell company. So the fit although it works, is not quite easy. I went to the cell company later and bought the same product by them for the phone and it fit like a glove. Bottom line: better to get an accessory made by the cell phone company itself.
