These tables are very good for N Scale model trains, for which I use them. Put two 2x4 tables together, secure the legs together with strong ties, and you have a 4x4 table ...Read complete review

These tables are very good for N Scale model trains, for which I use them. Put two 2x4 tables together, secure the legs together with strong ties, and you have a 4x4 table for a small price. Try buying a 4x4 table and you'll see what I mean! One word of caution - you can put a N Scale 2x4 layout on just one of these tables, but you have to use 9-3/4" radius curved track and run 2-axle diesels. 11" radius curved track comes too close to the edge of the table. HO Scalers can buy two 2-1/2x8 tables and have a 5x8 train table for less than $200.

    Be careful when pulling the legs from underneath this table. As I was setting this table up the first time, I pulled out the legs and part of the plastic frame underneath the table broke off. It still works but I try not to move it around for concern that it will fall apart completely.

      Needed to make a quick-change conversion from a former guest room to an office/library. This table was ideal proportions, stable for use as a desk, and skirted with 72" width felt to the floor, it is a very stylish solution for an instant desk with very little money spent. Super-pronto delivery to my apartment door as well. Bravo!!!! Your freight-guy was so nice to bring it in the elevator to my upper-floor apartment, I gave him 2 bucks for coffee, for which he was most appreciative.

                The picture of the Staples 4 ft table and the Global 4 ft table, have very different legs. The crossbar on the Staples is about 20in up and the Global is about 8in up from the floor. Are these pictures correct? The 6 ft and 8 ft table legs look identical for the Staples vs. the Global. Thanks

                  The photos are correct, the 4 ft Staples and Global are from different sources. The 8 ft tables are sourced from the same manufacturer.

                  These tables are shipped fully assembled. Once received you only need to remove the table from the box and unfold the legs to use it.

                  The difference is merely in brand. These are 5/8" high-density particleboard, which means it can hold up to 600 lbs. without a problem.
