Answer this question 1 answer A: 1) Yes this is fully compatible with Windows 7, upon plugging in the device Windows 7 will automatically install the drivers needed. 2) Yes it is hot swapable. You should not have to eject any device that is being powered by it in order to plug or unplug anything. This is the advantage of the USB port with Windows OS.
