These pages used to not rip when I tore off a sheet. The quality has gone downhill. But I still buy them because....I don't know any better brand! All tablets seem to be getting this way in recent years, not just the Staples brands. I like the pastel colors. Good-quality paper.

While I love using the colored pads, the pricing has increased significantly over the last two or three years. Looking at current pricing, it is about 50% higher than what I had paid in the past and a major decision for my not buying them any more. Yes, the paper is a good quality, and the colors definitely get noticed, but so does the pricing if you are the person actually paying for them. The same goes for the 8.5" x 11" as well- even higher pricing. I also preferred when you could select a particular color for all of the pads, and not have to purchase a pack of three colors with two of each. I won't be buying these again, unfortunately. I'll miss them but not the money to pay the much higher pricing. Are these increases necessary? They drove me away and I always had purchased them in the past.

I write to soldiers overseas and I use the different color paper to send as a return letter along with a color envelope.
