I am picky and prefer the 5x5 grid format (vs. 4x4) for "old school" list keeping and certain kinds of architectural sketch work. More "stuff" per page and therefore less waste.

Having said that, they are a bit pricey for grid paper. I pay it though given the difficulty of getting what I want otherwise and the fact that I buy these only a couple of times a year.

Have used for last 15 years for business meetings and daily note taking, as well as home. Use 1/4 to 1 pad per week! Price is right, quality is right, prefer space available with 5 squares per inch to 4 squares per inch quadrille pads.

My kids like the 5 squares per inch for math homework, because they can get more problems per sheet of paper. They also like perforated sheets, whether they are top bound or side bound. 5x5 is hard to find. Thanks Staples!
