    Needed in a hurry otherwise I would have purchased online for a lot less money. I needed two cables. [$]+tax each is a lot for a cable.

                I recently bought this cable to replace a broken cat4 cable that is used to connect my Time warner WAN box to my desktop computer.
                The connection was incredibley slow. (about 10 on speed test). When I returned to use the broken cat4 cable, the speed test was back up to 50. Is the Cat5 cable defective or does it just not work with a WAN connection?
