This was a gift for my daughter who wanted to be able to copy music onto CDs to play on a CD player. One of the other reviewers said this was one of the things he/she had used it for. So my daughter loaded music onto the CD, and took off to enjoy the music during a long drive. However the CD did not work. A computer savvy friend told us that this type of disk only works in a computer--not in a CD player. I haven't had a chance to check back with staples to see if this is true, but the disks definitely don't work in the car CD player.

I mainly use these discs to burn playlists of music for long drives. They almost never fail in the burning process and last a long time with very few exceptions. I also occasionally use them for storage of old files (I'm probably showing my age!) Again, they do a great job and last longer than I've needed them to. The fact that they are rewritable is a big bonus, although I have never used them for that purpose. (Old habits die hard I suppose!) If you are like me and still use blank CDs for business or personal use, the Staples brand are as good a quality product as you could ever need.

  It would depend on whether the player you use is using the same digital format as the computer you use to burn the music. If they are compatible yes, if not no.

  These are burnable disks, the RW means the disk can be Re-Written, on Sunday you can save your resume onto the disk by burning it, then on Tuesday you can save or burn an updated copy onto the same disk.

  You cannot add to an already burned file. These disks can be erased and re-written.

  You can add data to a file by re-writting what is already burned on a disk with the CD-RW pack. It is best for hard drive back-ups and you are able to write, erase, and rewrite data.The Staples pack of 700MB will allow you to rewrite up to 1000 times.
