It's a simple laser pointer not much to say here. A big "Pro" for this device was that it uses AAA batteries, no worrying about finding those little watch batteries for replacements. It's dot is bright and batteries seem to last quite a while under normal office presentation use.

As soon as I picked up this laser, I could tell it was made of top quality materials. I shined it and was a bit disappointing. It is simply not that bright. My friend has one that was the same price from a different store and it is a bit brighter and of equal quality. If this laser cost less, I could understand. For the price paid, I expect more.

I gave an hour and a half PowerPoint, and toward the end my old hand was very tired and unsteady from holding the pointer. I couldn't describe a smooth steady indication with it. I wanted to buy a small, cheap laser pointer that the store manager called a "cat toy" for my very occasional presentation use, but this heavy pointer was the least expensive available when I was shopping. I have a version of carpal tunnel syndrome and gripping becomes painful after a short time. Make an old lady's laser pointer.

  I have a slide advancing remote for PowerPoint (and some other presentation programs like ProPresenter) which has buttons on it for forward and reverse arrows. This product is just a light. So, no, it will not advance slides unless you have a light activated slide advancer you can zap with it (I do not think they exist) :-)
