    I plug this into my small kitchen television and into ear plugs to allow for increased freedom of movement while preparing food. I LOVE it. I can hear my news programs (while hard-of-hearing husband's nearby tv blares) and still move around the kitchen as far as the extension cord and ear plug cord will allow. This turned out to be a better and less expensive solution than using wireless earphones.

          I built a new shelf system for our flat screen tv, blue ray and satellite box. When I started to run all the cables, I came up about 18" short to hook up my wireless headphones. This solved the problem nicely.

            I had just built a new entertainment center for our flat screen tv, satellite receiver, blue ray player and my wireless headphones. When I started running all the wires, I came out about 12-18" short to make the hookup for the headphone base. This filled the bill quite nicely!

                  The Bose SoundDock will take this cable, but I am not sure if it will work with the CD player. If the CD player uses this type of cable (this is an audio out...like youo would use with headphones) then you'll be set.
