I have a micro-wave and a convection oven plugged in. I don't use them together but if I forgot and did I wouldn't have to worry about blowing a circuit keeps them safe in case of power surges

THE PRODUCTS WAS USED TO PROTECT A LCD FLAT SCREEN TV THAT WAS LOCATED LESS THAN A COUPLE OF FEET FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET SO I COULD HAVE USE A SHORTER LENGTH CORD BECAUSE THERE WERE ALREADY OTHER WIRES CONNECTED TO THE TV AND DVD RECORDER. IT APPEARED THE SHORTER THE CORD THE DECREASE IN SURGE PROTECTION.
