    I gave 3 stars - rather than 4 or even 5 - because of the compatibility issue. I have an older (but really ahead of its time) TV, and the S-VIDEO input socket on that TV is recessed. The product will NOT connect to this TV, which is what I primarily bought it for, since the plug cannot be inserted deeply enough to work properly - the plug housing is just too thick for the recessed socket. A fine product otherwise, at a good price.

          Staples workers are wonderful !!! We have always been treated right and they are always so helpful. Can't find something, just ask and they will show you your options and share their knowledge. We love the rewards program which allows us to buy extras. We feel Staples prices are very comparable and have purchased lots of items from 22" monitor for our video game to colored paperclips... We also like we are generally in and out very quickly when going in for just one item cause the workers accomodate situations when there are more than 2 in line. So far so good on quality on their products... Thanks Staples!

                        A:

                        S-video cables carry two video signals. One carries brightness information (the Luma signal) and the other carries color information (the Chroma signal). Together they deliver a complete color picture, but are unable to carry sound. Additional cables would need to be purchase to produce sound.
