I gave 3 stars - rather than 4 or even 5 - because of the compatibility issue. I have an older (but really ahead of its time) TV, and the S-VIDEO input socket on that TV is recessed. The product will NOT connect to this TV, which is what I primarily bought it for, since the plug cannot be inserted deeply enough to work properly - the plug housing is just too thick for the recessed socket. A fine product otherwise, at a good price.
