I send out a TON of postcards. I've found that if I have at least 8 going to the same place it saves me money (and time) to send them all in one of these envelopes. One bad thing I've found is when I put a ton of them in there it's harder to get it to seal properly. I have my clear packing tape handy for those cases and also put a band of tape around the center for extra support from splitting. That last part was a suggestion from the nice lady at the USPS!!

We had a Quilt Show and sent out our program books to vendors donating door prizes, which were the same size as the mailing envelopes. The only problem, I had, was the fold over closing section was hard to get a straight edge in the fold and the clasps were hard to open straight out. Other than those two gripes, the envelopes were well made.

    It would be nice if you had this in a 6 by 9 inch envelope without the metal clasp since the clasp jams the USPS machines and as a result USPS charges the sender extra for hand processing of these envelopes.

      I love these for sending cards I make, they send for the price of a regular postage stamp. Even if my cards have the addition of embellishments such as ribbon or buttons the price of a postage stamp sends it on the way. If my card is a bit more bulky I may have to get it hand stamped at post office but sending it is still very reasonable, it would have to be quite a bit heavier to need two stamps. The six by nine size is perfect for economical sending which is great if sending out your entire Christmas card list. love them, buy them by the hundred.

            Why do you have these online for $9.79 but charge $14.49 at your Williamsport, PA store. Do I have to buy them online and have them delivered to get this price. At $14.49 thay were the same price as the same quantty of envelopes twice this size. Thanks in advance for your reply! Michael
