This is a great envelope, much better than the ones that you insert from the smaller side, these are easy to stuff, they are slightly see-thru, but work great for what I use them for. Plus if you don't put too many sheets in them they only require one stamp to mail!! that is sooo valuable to me, as I mail out a lot of promo items to clients. They one thing that would make them better would be a pull & seal flap, rather than gummed.

not for large catalogs or newsletters

Our office uses 6x9" booklet envelopes to mail our monthly newsletter to readers outside of the US. We chose this particular product because of the price, however, compared to the more expensive version (which is unavailable through Staples,) this product was by far inferior. Despite the 6x9" dimensions, we were unable to use these envelopes to mail our folded 8.5x11" newsletter (the interior dimensions are more like 8.375x5.75") It appears that the glue on the interior of the envelope (the left-hand side to be precise) is the culprit for the loss of space. That particular seam takes up five- eighths of an inch, which is a significant amount of space. Our office will be returning the unused boxes and returning to our more expensive supplier. I would not recommend this product to those for whom dimensions are crucial.

I use these after feeding them through a HP G95 printer. This printer feeds these envelopes sideways and this sometimes causes paper jams and sometimes causes the glue to separate on the right hand side when looking at the back of the envelope. Staples #247668 which seals the 6" dimension instead would work better with my printer.

I use it to mail flyers. Only need to fold an 8-1/2 X 11 flyer in half. Most important...no extra postage for larger envelope. White looks good with my color flyers, too.
