Fixed our problem

While speaking with a technitian from our internet provider, he suggested that our modem cable may be the cause of the problem we were having. Headed to Staples to purchase a cable. With the help of a saleman, we found what we needed. The cable was reasonably priced, and it immediately fixed our problem when it was installed.

I bought this cable to replace an older worn out network cable that had gone bad. I had an extra ethernet cable from the phone company (that I used to determine that the old one had gone bad)that worked great and really sped things but it was too short. The new longer cable did nothing to improve the speed of info transfer but it did reach from the wall outlet to the computer. Guess I'll move the computer and go with the telephone company's cable.
