I went to buy one pastel color of pad, but have found the varied-color pad package gives me varied colors for varied topics, so I can file topics and find topics within a file folder more quickly. I like the softly-colored sheets for a softer, less glared surface when writing outside. Very nice, smooth surface for writing in pen. Sheeets tear easily and neatly. A good value.

I used to utilize these colored pads, originally Ampad brand and then Staples but the price has really increased over the last few years. It has been a while since I purchased this size but the smaller size (5" x 8") has gone up by about 50% over the last two or three years. The quality of the paper is great but the price really has become painful. Another negative- I might prefer a particular color (pink or orchid/purple) but now there is no choice as the pack contains two each of three different colors and I am not a fan of the blue ones. Are these price increases necessary? They really did shoot up and I no longer will no longer purchase them. Too bad.

These are high quality, expensive legal pads. Why are they not available in all one color? As a male, do I want to go into meeting with an orchid legal pad???

Why can't they just package all the single colors together like the yellow or white pads? I would want to order just the pink pads. There are other people, besides myself, who would happily purchase the product that way. I feel like I'm stuck with the orchid (it looks almost like a gray and I don't like that one). The blue is not truly a pastel blue.

Other than the lack of ability to purchase colors by choice, the paper is a nice weight and the pastel colors are pleasing to the eye. The perferation at the top rips cleanly.
