Be warned that any security that comes from the tinting is far overshadowed by the fact that the envelope does NOT stay sealed.

In my 12 years of working with Staples, this is the most disappointing product we have ever purchased. We do not have issues with other products from them, but this one is a failure.

They do not stay closed. The sides tear open in the mail. Very unreliable!

We bought them because we didn't want people to be able to see through them. But they do not stay sealed properly.

Although the tamper proof lining does make the envelope satisfactorily opaque, the envelopes easily open and it has become clear that it will not remain sealed if put through the mail. Even when the glue keeps the end of the envelope sealed, the easy open perforation tears and the envelope arrives COMPLETELY OPEN. This has happened numerous times. I will be forced to tape closed the entire top portion of the envelope for the rest of the ones I have, but I will not be ordering these again.
