I use this item for taking notes at college. It includes sticky flags which are nice for use in your accompanying textbook. It also includes a bendable ruler that snaps in and out of the spiral. I haven't needed it as of yet, but the ruler fell out on one occasion and it snapped back in with no problem. The durable plastic pocket folders are a bit tight for holding papers.......tough to get them in and out.....I also had to cut them down by half on an angle to allow ease of access to the pockets. Overall good quality, just wish the pockets were a bit bigger/looser and they were easier to access. Overall I would recommend this product, but would caution not to rely on the pockets to hold your papers.

So I decided to buy this because it's half the price as the 5-Star notebooks. I get it home and I flip it over, and the air that is wafted towards my face smells like rotten eggs. I smell the paper and it smells fine, and then I smell the metal binding and that's the culprit. I run my hand across the metal and then my hand smells like rotten eggs. Now I don't know if I shouldn't just go buy a 5-Star notebook like I was going to in the first place. It may cost way too much but at least it won't make me smell.

this 5 subject is a great notebook for junior,high school and college who doesn't want to shell out lots of money to mead company to buy theirs and you are also on budget. I used this staples notebook for my college classes and are great because the folders are plastic,has a calender and organizer and also has color tabs for each subject. the best thing about this product is the paper quality because its smooth and great to write on and the pens or pencil don't smudge at much as those other cheap type paper from other cheap subject notebooks.
