I bought these to use at home and at work (I am a teacher). They are heavy-duty and work great for a wide variety of tasks. I'd definitely buy again! (Just a quick fun note: I bought them to use as holiday gifts for my students' lockers. I used a black paint pen to draw smiley faces on them and they were a huge hit!! They were so cute I had to keep some for home too!)

Doesn't quite fill the bill

Having just moved into a new office that has metal walls, we wanted magnets to affix items we'd normally attach with thumbtacks or nails. The strength of the magnets makes them only marginally useful

          These magnets come in two sizes and were in an economy pack, so I guess I am not entirely surprised that they don't work well. The plastic "button" seems to stick out beyond the magnet, causing the magnet not to connect with the metal on my filing cabinet. The larger magnets seem to hold one sheet of paper, but I have to use two or three of the smaller magnets for the same sheet of paper. Forget about holding a thicker sheet, like a greeting card. Neither of the magnets worked for that. Too bad! I was hoping for a simple, inexpensive solution. Not this time!

              Seems like the magnets were something like 1", 1 1/2" and 2". Well 2" may be too big so maybe they are 3/4", 1" & 1 1/2" or so. I could have my daughter measure them if you want.
