to my surprise the wheels from my office chair quickly cause dents in the mat! prior mat never did. hope this doesn't lead to permanent dents!

It has really helped on the carpet. My chair rolls a lot easier. But when you set in the same spot, you get a rut. I don't know what effect ths will have over time if any.

My chairs seem to sink in a bit more that I would like. I've got Berber carpet (presumably with padding under it). I sometimes have to work a bit to roll my chair out of the impressions it creates. The nubs on the bottom of the mat are shorter and duller than those for normal carpet; they appear adequate to the task.
