Q: how do I get my chair to tilt back? Asked on 4/25/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: You need to pull out the lever to unlock it, and then adjust to your preference. Once you are in the desired position, put the lever back into the lock position. If this does not work you may have a defective unit. Someone in the Q and A section of the product page seems to have had a similar problem. Answered on 4/26/2012 by Community Answer from None A: This handle that raises and lowers your chair can be pulled out or pushed in. This will create a tilt lock on your chair if the handle is pushed in. Pull on the handle to remove it from the locked position, and you should be able to tilt back in your chair. If you are still unable to tilt in your chair, please contact our Staples Brand Product team by dialing 1-800-425-0049. A representative would be happy to further assist you.
