I purchased the portable file to take documents with me to court (I am an attorney). Unfortunately, the latch popped open REPEATEDLY. Every time I put it down (in the car, at security, in the courtroom, in the elevator), it unlatched itself. This was an extreme hassle, and interferes with the "portability" nature of the item.

The recess for the handle is also an unfortunate feature since it will not close over anything higher than 9".

I live in a small apartment now and had no room for a larger file cabinet, this takes care of all my organization for bills, statements, reciepts. Has good quality seperation tabs and the lid closes securily with a slide latch.

This was perfect for organizing all the paperwork that was generated in my daughters college application process. I used one for the applications (including info from college tours), and another for the acceptances. It's lightweight, easy to carry, relatively strong. My only complaint is the l latch is tricky to use.

I have a Bookkeeping Business with several Self-Employed Clients. I do all their bookkeeping and this item is perfect for me to give them back their receipts all organized and alphabetically filed. I'm delighted that I found this at Staples. Leave it to Staples, I can always find what I need and all of good quality. My clients were also impressed when I presented them with their receipts, General Ledger, etc. all neatly organized and ready for finger tip control if necessary. I never shop for Office Supplies anywhere else. Also being a Awards Member helps even more to save on already great prices.
