I purchased the portable file to take documents with me to court (I am an attorney). Unfortunately, the latch popped open REPEATEDLY. Every time I put it down (in the car, at security, in the courtroom, in the elevator), it unlatched itself. This was an extreme hassle, and interferes with the "portability" nature of the item.

The recess for the handle is also an unfortunate feature since it will not close over anything higher than 9".

I PREVIOUSLY USED AN EXPANDABLE FILE WITH PAPER DIVIDERS, AND IT QUICKLY FELL APART. THIS HAS BETTER DIVIDER CONSTRUCTION. IT IS BEST USED FOR A TEMPORARY BRIEF CASE/DIVIDER. IF USED PERMANTLY, I WOULD PAY THE PRICE FOR A BETTER MODEL. THE LATCH IS FLIMSY AND CLUMSY, IT WOULD BE BETTER AS HOOK AND LATCH.

I use this to file my husbands business receipts and paperwork. Plenty of room so that the papers aren't crammed in, and make it easy to find needed papers.

I needed something that would hold some files but was also waterproof and this does the job but the clasp to close the folder is pooly made.

It works but the clasp isnt the best.
