This organizer was purchased to help manage multiple different desktop items, to allow a convenient, one location, and spot for everything.
I found the unit available in two colors, clear and black. I chose the black, but it's nice to have a choice.
There are several compartments on the base that surround the taller, deeper center storage areas. This means you have plenty of locations to store many of the commonly used office items.
I personalized mine by gluing a few vacation related items to it. Helps remind you of better times during those tense times at work. I also velcro-ed a small clock to the base so I can keep track of the time of day.
The one drawback I found was the rear bracket to allow for envelopes to be stored / kept. The thin plastic base extensions that connect the main base to the rear envelope bracket cracked on mine when I attempted to move it on my desk while loaded. I epoxied the cracked plastic, and it seems to be holding now, but it would be nice if the plastic were thicker / stronger through this rear section.
Other than advising others to be careful with the rear section, for the money, if you are looking for a way to organize all you paper clips, pens, etc. into one area, this unit works pretty well.
