I buy one of these about every 2 years

I buy one of these about every 2 years or so.They dont last forever,but for the price its cheap enough to replace.It will short out before any other parts break.I have the same problem every time.I will have to buy another one in about 2 years.The older ones use to have a plastic tube at the bottom that fit into a plastic mount ,they improved the tube to metal a few years back.So now I just have to stick the new lamp in the old bracket and I'm ready to go.Its above my head and out of the way. It fits perfect on my custome made home office desk.And you cant beat the price.If they ever fix the short in the lamp head problem it would be the best desk lamp I could ever buy.But it is what it is.

I put this light on a basement workbench. I thought it was reasonably priced based on similar types I've used at various work stations at home. On about the 4th time I used it, I was becoming dissatisfied at the way the light would sink back to a low profile on it's own. I turned a tension knob at the middle joint hoping to apply more resistance. It snapped with just the slightest pressure,and the lamp fell into several pieces. Perhaps if they had not put a ridiculously large on/off knob on the top, it might have been light enough to stay up. Junk!

This is a piece of garbage. It would not stay in place and when I tried to tighten it up it broke. Made with plastic parts. Even at less than $20.00 it is way over priced. They should pay me to take it.

Lamp keeps sagging. The plastic nut cannot be tightened tight enough without stripping the threads. I am very dissapointed. I replaced it with something else.

This product needs a lock washer in the center part of the swing arm so the lamp will not fold when it is fully assembled. Very hard to keep upright in one place. The knob needs adjustment from falling off. I don't know the use for the tab on the lamp shade as of yet. I use these as show lights at reptile shows where I am a vendor.

I would recommend this only if they fix these issue's.

For the price it's a decent light with problems, but usable.
