These storage and organization units work very well in a drawer. The lack of subdividers is a plus when you have multiple odd-sized items for the drawer. These units are also great as storage/organizers on an open shelf as the black mesh blends nicely. I am using one of the units on a shelf for various USB cables that I use from time-to-time to download pictures from cameras, hook up my IPod, etc.
