I purchase one of these every year to file receipts in by month. The good thing about this check wallet is that it has a wide expansion (the product description says up to 12 inches expansion). Most other accordion-style check-size wallets out there have limited expansion because of a unexpandable base. However, despite being able to expand up to 12 inches, the elastic attached to the wallet is not sturdy enough and the closing flap is not big enough to actually then close the wallet securely when it's expanded past 4-6 inches. All said, I've looked high and low for a good check-sized wallet for a while now, and of all the ones I've seen, this one has met most of my needs.

Purchased to store 12 full months of scanned bank deposits (approximately 10 inches of paperwork). I realize most are going paperless but...this item does not even meet it's own specifications, much less my expectations. It might expand to a max. of 9 inches but VERY thin paper product so I suspect it would tear easily. The cover flap is only 5 inches long so it could never cover fully expanded advertised length of 12 inches, the elastic cord will only stretch around 4 inches of stored information so again it won't cover the fully extended advertised length of 12 inches.

Would be much better if it also expanded at the bottom. We bought this product before, but the design has changed. Only expands at the top so it doesn't hold as much as before. Now there isn't any that expands at the bottom??? Who decided on this change??? Did they ask anyone??? Total design flaw.
